I was wondering if anyone has ever gone to partymax to buy fireworks? I saw they had an ad on Jagwag then went to their website and see they have a banner that says "50% OFF FIREWORKS awesome selection of kits and one light, multi shot firework grand finales!" and that they carry mystical.
I emailed them to get some info and they responded back pretty quickly but did not have any info about pricing yet as they can't sell until a week before Canada day.

I live right by a party max and from what I saw, they would up price the retail and then take a discount on the inflated price. For example a top pick package would be priced at $40 and then they would price it at $20. Pretty much the going price everywhere else. Also, they are a party store and the workers have no idea on what the products they are selling do other than that they go boom.

Thanks for the info choices. Sounds like the 50% off on their website is BS. I asked about a specific item and they still won't tell me a price. I asked about menace, since its 42 I asked if it would be $21. they said their prices include the cost of shipping and charges to sell fireworks so their price would be $50, with up to %50 off. Gusa its on the front page at partymax.ca/

Khogan, I find that sometimes it is just better to stick with fireworks shops. If you ever encounter a dud, good luck trying to get a refund or replacement from a party shop after the event is over. I am sure all other fireshops would replace or credit the dud without any hesitation.

Choices I was thinking the opposite. For example say I buy something from Phatboy other than the main store, they are gone the day after Canada day so there would be no way to return any duds. At least with a store like Party Max they are still going to be operating a business after Canada day so their store will still be open. Most fireworks shops are only open for the week before the holiday then disappear.
