I just recently built a 5 slot rack to hold 5 large barrage component effects. This one is designed for 5 Deep Purple's by Mystical. I only had 2 of them when I built it, Its tested great, and I'll be loading in 5 of them that sit in a fan formation for a wedding show I'm doing in the fall that requires a lot of purple effects. Safety FYI, the brackets that secure the rack are not in the photo. Attachments:

Nice job, good idea color coding them.
What do the holding brackets look like?

Nice rack peterloughran! My only advice (for everyone building racks) is to use screws instead of nails. And a dab of liquid nails also helps. Can't really tell on the photo cause it seems to be fastened on the ends.

Hi Kooks, Great advice! The ends and the bottom are all glued and screwed, only the dividers are glued and brad nailed. I also have metal L brackets on the inside corners. It's probably overkill for a low compression effect. But you can never be too safe.

I agree, never can be to safe when dealing with explosives. I'm a firm believer in building safety into your product and service for that matter. good job on the racks.
