Soooo despite the glaring black-sky hole in the middle of the show (which was a part where i only had one cake scripted and due to running out of time i couldn't add in the alternates i wanted to.) I still thought the show went well and figured I'd share in hopes someone else might have put up some video of their shows... Shot the whole show using Mystical products, the one that didn't go was "Trigger Happy" and I'm disappointed but overall still a good success. Its possible that poking the cake for the igniter damaged the next fuse that's supposed to pass fire along the cake, but I'm not really sure. Stinks no matter what. Setup was a royal bitch since it was a blizzard on the whole day of the 31st... We ended up deciding not to actually shoot the show and waited until the evening of the 1st so there would be much better (although even colder) weather... Got the racks assembled and such in the blizzard, but threw them in the trailer for the night and drank beers by the fire instead. Next day we had a bunch of stuff to deal with around the cabin, and then spent a few hours carrying everything out onto the lake and wiring the modules up. -20C plus some wind chill sure makes for frozen fingers. wowza. Alrighty - forgive the black hole, feedback welcome on the rest. Couple pics of us carrying the racks out into the snow on show day... beautiful backdrop! Big frozen lake.

Well done.
How much of that was 1.3 vs. 1.4 ? Good pick for the song.

Nicely done! Thanks for sharing. The show looks good.
I hope you accept constructive criticism ?? No offence but that is shooting fireworks and playing music, very far from actual pyro - musical but it looks great and good choice of music

You don't think it's a pyromusical then just keep it to yourself. Well done!

You don't think it's a pyromusical then just keep it to yourself. Well done! I have to agree - That's not constructive criticism at all. I'm not sure where you set the bar for making it a "pyromusical" but anything that is synchronized to music counts in my book. Doubly so when the vast majority of cues are single shots. I'm also paying out of my own pocket for my own enjoyment. If I had a much larger budget (this show still represents $900+ in product, plus hundreds in trailer rentals, sound equipment, fuel, etc...) then it would be far more complex. Do you have suggestions on how I can improve the show? That would be constructive criticism, and as such I would be interested in hearing it. The entire show was 1.4 with the exception of the two cakes right at the end. Thanks for the compliments guys. I tried to do a show to this music a couple years ago and the weekend getaway didn't come together (ended up shooting a barge show for some anonymous millionaire instead - so not too bad). Glad I could get a chance to use it.
