I love the Haywire cake that Powerhouse came out with last year, but I'm wondering if you guys have seen a crossette cake(1.4) with maybe 36 shots that are shot in small groups(2 or 3)instead of 1 at a time. I had only ever seen this effect at 1.3 shows before and I don't see any other crossette cakes listed on supplier sites. Do I just have to shoot multiple Haywires? Is this basically what happens at 1.3 shows?

At the moment there are only 3 cakes that I am aware of in the 1.4 consumer line that has crossettes. One is Haywire , the other is Fragmented by Vulcan not in stock yet and the third is Split Comets by BEM ( This is a fan cake by the way ) - again not in stock yet . For the 1.3 world the cakes tend to shoot either in multiples or faster than the consumer cakes . In some pyro shows they use multiple single shot shells that have crossettes. So if you want more than one crossette in the sky you basically have to shoot multiple cakes. Or if you can locate some Heaven's gate mortars by Mystical then you could shoot them in multiples.

Thanks Grisom. Funny that you mention both Fragmented and Split Comets. I really want both and with the state of the world, it looks like we may not see them this year. You have confirmed my research. Thanks again.

No problem Londonfan. That is what we are here for .
As I understand it the BEM cake splitting comets is supposed to arrive likely before Victoria Day . The wife asked when she was in a few weeks back .

Don’t think it matters for Victoria Day. Think the lockdown is going to impact a lot of shows. Peterborough already cancelled their show for Victoria Day.
I think my own personal show is in jeopardy as well.
