Well it has been a long long time coming, perhaps 8 years in the making? And if it wasn't for Covid we still probably would not have had the time to invest in it. SHOP.FireworksFX.com is our e-commerce site that we have spent a lot of love and effort crafting into a site that we hope will be of interest, knowledge and education for not only first time fireworks buyers but for the experienced pyros on this forum and professional shooters as well. There is more functionality, features and content coming to the site and a LOT more fireworks listings, it will be the largest selection of fireworks, equipment and supplies available in Canada. We have not launched the site yet officially but I was hoping that some of you might take a few minutes to drop by, kick the tires, look for any problems and most importantly to let us know what you think. The only negative I have is there seems to be no way to close/hide the 'Ben the Expert window'

peteys you nailed it, good for you. As soon as I read about not being able to close the Chat window two of us here said YES. There was something that had been niggling in the back of our mind about the Chat but you put your finger on it. Chat is a nice feature to be able to ask a quick question and get a quick answer but if it isn't wanted you should be able to close it and not see it again unless you bring it up. But even when you close our Chat it keeps coming back like the Energizer Bunny. Has to be a setting somewhere. I was hoping that things like this might be picked up by some fresh eyes looking at the site, thanks again  SHOP Fireworks FX.com |

Great website! The only negative I have is there seems to be no way to close/hide the 'Ben the Expert window' I spotted an X off to the outside of the chat box that closes the window. It did take me a bit to see it, but once I did, I didn't find it a big issue. Other than that I like the site. The effect description listed right with the item is very good, and almost every video played on my old pc still running XP. I would assume that more than a few retailers are going to be miffed about your prices. As a consumer, thanks for pushing the prices down. |

ahh you spotted the descriptions right with the item. We spent a huge amount of time reviewing and analysing all the sites up and running now in Canada and made notes as to what was done well, what didn't work well and so on and one big item was that with most sites unless you know exactly what a Big Widget cake does you had to click on it to read the description and then make a decision to buy it or not. Painful. We have tried to make our shopping experience as intuitive, easy and informative as we possibly can. I really look forward to start posting Product Review videos weekly. Iām sure younger generations would probably love to see a cleaner, more intuitive mobile experience.
I guess that might be a secondary goal but it will certainly help as lots of us move to our mobile devices as our primary computing devices!

It's a bit of challenge for the tech people to create a product that works well with all the different browsers on desktops plus mobile devices such as tablets and phones so it's always a work in progress. But we have a really good IT team and e-commerce development team that are constantly working on the design and functionality so be patient with us. And you absolutely right about the change to mobile devices as being the primary, the numbers show that and it is constantly increasing. SHOP Fireworks FX.com |
