So going to be helping with a couple of shows this month. First time doing any in the winter. You guys have any tips or recommendations or things to keep in mind for setting up/shooting in the cold?

I really don't think there is much of a difference, you are just dealing with cold temperatures. Dress for the cold, make sure you have good boots/socks to keep your feet warm. You will be using bare hands to plug in ematches, so expect cold hands for periods of time. I like to buy those heat packs and place them in my pocket when ematching, so I can warm up my hands periodically.

Couple things to add, if there's no snow then be aware that the grass , brush etc is extremely dry so fire hazard can be up . Also if staking that ground will be harder to do . Basically expect everything to take longer than in a summer shoot.

Lack of snow is prob not going to be an issue up here. We just got half a foot and there is another foot of it called for next week just before the first of the two shows is happening
Thanks for the tip though guys will keep them in mind
