Hey guys,
Just got my cobra prototype M18 demo modules in, they are incredible! The new rechargable batteries will also power alot more ematches and Talons in parrallel. Also capabable of external power!
More to come soon from Cobra!

Yes, got the 18r2 with two modules for now, amazing system man! I am going to get a few more soon.

I got my units back in August - LOVE THEM. I'd played around with a couple of the beta units one of the operators near here had and I fell in love with them over the standard units.
I don't think they're available on the website directly yet (still!!!) but you can definitely email Scott and pay the extra ~$50 IIRC to get the upgrade done. Its completely worth it if you're buying the modules!
I ran the units on standby for ~7 hours, then ARMED for about a half hour while arming the show. Took the units home and tried to recharge them the next day, but the charger said they were fully charged still and was all like "Umm dude these units are good to go still... go play with them and stop wasting my time"
Crazy good upgrade.
Side note is that you can (if you desire) use the banana jack terminals to actually output ~14VDC and power any other devices you may have (like a sequencer maybe?) and I have no doubt that the unit will fire a hundred matches without any issues. Talons might be a different story since they draw a lot more current for a lot longer.

I love mine as well. Waiting to order more soon. Rechargable is the way to go and can fire way more Talons and ematches with the provided Lipo 14V battery.
Not for sale just yet on the Cobra website, Scott says very soon!

I just talked to Scott, the rechargable units are 6-8 weeks out right now... So if you are planning to get some, you'll want to let him know and possibly place your order to get in the queue for the units he has coming in. I'm getting 9 more mods, all rechargeable.  According to my talk with Scott, they're $30 additional for each mod, and he now has 5 unit chargers for $25. |
