The 9 shot seems rather mediocre given the MSRP on it... You could buy 10 single tube items for less money. Hopefully they are better in person than the video leads me to believe...
Its a bit sad that I can fire 3 racks of 2" for the same price... or maybe less... Although, of course, this is available to anyone and is ready to go without extra equipment... Plus I suspect they'll go on sale since I doubt they'll move many at $90 a pop.

Sooooo I just got back from the Mystical warehouse in BC. Talked to the GM for a while about a bunch of things, one being why the price of the 9 Shot "Cake" was so high... Turns out, its 9 separate single shots (individually fused!) and he assures me 100% that while the videos aren't so great, they are of the same caliber as the rest of the Pro Series items. So comparing them to individual $10 single-shot items isn't doing them any justice.
The video they used online was apparently captured throughout a night of demos in China when they selected the 9 effects for this package, from the dozens of options they were presented.
So... I'll probably try to get one out of him for a deep discount and try it out myself. Finger's crossed!

Hold on...so they are individually fused which means I gotta light them one at a time AND they are still smaller than a single shot mortar? How is this better?? Or am I reading this wrong?

Perhaps my use of the word "caliber" was poorly chosen. I wasn't referring to the physical dimension of the tubes.
As far as I know they are still the larger tubes like the $10 or $15 single shot effects are. They've essentially just packaged 9 individual items (each with its own fuse and plastic base) into one box and marketed it under the pro pyro series. So the breaks are supposed to be quite large. Their thinking was more along the lines of $120 worth of single effects in a $90 box.
I'll email the GM and ask about the actual mortar sizing since I don't see it listed in my catalogue.
