4.10 Wind speed The maximum surface wind speed for discharging fireworks is 40 km/hr.
Going by the regulation its max wind speed of 40km. I have only been involved in one show that was canceled due to wind, and that was on the edge of 40km if I remember right it was gusts that every so often hit 40km, rather then chance it, it was canceled. Is there a wind speed under 40km that you would not be comfortable shooting in, the max is 40max but your personal max is?? I know direction is a big factor as well so maybe comment on that as well. Do you use an cell phone attachment to test wind speed, or an anemometer and reference that off Environment Canada or just go with what the Environment Canada sites says for that area.
Always learning!

I dont have a hard number below 40 km/h but judge it largely based on shoot site. If i have a limited area and im already toying with legal space limits or am very close I will call a show for wind speeds lower than 40 km/h.
