This is about the last 5 minutes of a fireworks show shot in a 30km wind. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhS9DHOD1Qw&feature=youtu.beThe video was sent to me by a member of the audience. It was shot from a drone. The video quality is not the best but I thought it was an interesting video showing the effect wind has on fireworks. The wind speed was higher during the day with drifting granular snow, so difficult set up conditions. Fortunately, we had a huge open space where the fireworks were blowing. Needless to say, the wind destroyed any pattern or alignment of the cake effects. The Fire Chief had the RCMP close the road to keep the audience clear from the fallout. Some of the field modules were starting to indicate low battery from the windchill so that is probably why a few mines in the mine walls did not fire. The mine walls are 216 ft wide with 12 double effect mines spaced 18 ft apart.
