Hi all I am a ex Firework display operator and a general pyro maniac from Stoke On Trent in England. I like to find out how my pyro brothers from around the earth go on with this mad obsession we have with Fireworks. I started in the 1970's buying fireworks for our Bonfire night we have in England .There was only one brand of fireworks i could buy in my area at the time which was Standard Fireworks from Huddersfield near Yorkshire. We have a charity fireworks display in my village every year (except this one due to the virus) which i got involved with and ended up firing the display for around 35 years or more. Then i worked when needed for a display company and did displays all around England and Ireland . I fired displays most weekends some big some small and loved every second of it but had to retire from displays around 2012 due to health issues. Anyway i hope you are all well and happy and i look forward to learning how you guys go about things.

Welcome to our little pyro world. I remember Standard fireworks - they had some interesting items . Some very loud items . I think we still have a few kicking about .

Hi Thanks for the welcome .We have a very active forum over here if you fancy a look to see what we get up to. www.fireworks-forum.org.uk/It has been a hard year on the professional side of things with weddings cancelled summer events off etc .The retail side has been ok and Guy Fawkes night was noisy as the local charity bonfires were off due to this virus and people fed up let rip in their gardens with fireworks.I go under a different name on our forum as i retired and changed my name to Done Fettling fettling been a term here meaning working etc. Anyway thanks for the welcome and stay safe.
