Have not really decided yet. Would prefer to see in person first really. Nice to see what kind of price they will be going for though

I LIKE THESE! I started making a list, and then stopped after 8. Deciding will be hard.

Does anyone know how these are supposed to be set up for firing? Is it a bury item or is there a stand of some sort? I wouldn't have any concerns about most people posting here but I could see these items falling over in the hands of the general public. With the limited popularity of other bury items causing lack of familiarity with burying some people would just place these on the ground and light them. I know this sounds like extreme stupidity but I sold consumer fireworks for over 20 years and people who get impaired and then head out in the dark with a box of fireworks will do the stupidest things. I have always thought that design should make it as simple as possible to function the firework so it remains standing up. When items like the Wild Heart barrage that had a large enough flat end to stand on their own came out I started hearing stories of these Items being placed on the ground unburied and fired. Of course they fall over at the first shot.

Very good point! Yes these cake slices will need to be stabilised and it will be VERY important for sellers to stress this to customers. You and I can both see Darwin Award candidates just putting them down on the ground and lighting them. I shudder to think...

Potential catalyst for future municipal issues if they’re not handled properly

I was wondering about this issue, but I assumed that they had some sort of base attached (not shown in picture) to be certified safe for consumer use by ERD.

ERD’s criteria for authorising a consumer item does not include how it is to be setup or secured. There are quite a few items that should/need to be stabilised. Think of the really small cakes, even some items with plastic bases are quite unstable since the base is so small. I don’t think newbies to fireworks will be attracted cake slices so much, more the experienced consumer junkie

FireworksFX latest news letter... Excellent "consumer level" safety precautions for the slices. Great customer education! Thanks Fred.

Looks like you can't go wrong with any of those cakes. I've added Fish Fry to my shopping list, and I'm trying to decide where to stop.
I really like Endgame.
See how I did that?
Stop...
Endgame...
Somebody stop/Endgame me!

I am both sad and glad that my budget is already blown. I could go crazy "building" my own cakes with these. I would definitely need a bigger and better remote system as well.

I just logged out and then got a big smile on my face wondering how long it would take Fred to pitch me on a new remote firing system . Thanks in advance Fred. (I will watch the video when you post and add the link) p.s. I'm just a small guy, so I would probably need 36 - 48 cues.(just for finale cakes and slices)

ahh that gave me a laugh this morning 😄. I wouldn't have posted about it normally but since you prodded me 🤣 Here's the link to IGNITE. There have been some good firmware updates in the last year, now the same cue on multiple modules can be fired simultaneously can be fired and a dark mode option to save your night vision was just added. shop.fireworksfx.com/product/ignite-fireworks-firing-system/A nice accessory is the Breakout board which allows you to plug 2 Talons into the same cue (it will actually fire at least 3 or 4 but Cobra doesn't advertise that as they are very conservative with their specifications) or if you are able to use MJG igniters with Quickplugs you can plug 5 into one cue or by using a second board you can plug up to 10 on the same cue and all will fire. shop.fireworksfx.com/product/igniter-breakout-board/And finally they just came out with a Quickplug 6 Cue tester so you can run through your show and get a visual of it. shop.fireworksfx.com/product/quickplug-6-cue-tester/We stock Talon igniters with Quickplugs and MJG ematches with Quickplugs and the tools and Quickplugs to convert bare wire igniters to Quickplugs.
