So I got an email the other day from change.org looking for me to sign a petition. They sent it to me based on the support that I had given to other petitions. (maybe 3) The petition was to get Disney to stop doing their nightly fireworks shows. This was an international petition. Only 50 people had signed it. I was about to quickly hit delete when I decided to scroll down to the bottom to see if there were options other than agreement. At the bottom it asked if the email was helpful, 1-5. I gave it a 1. The screen changed to a looking for feedback box. I told them that they should review their algorithms. The first petition that I even looked at with them was to not ban fireworks in London. Other than hoping that London city hall pays some sort of attention to the "Don't ban fireworks in London" petition while they drool all over the ban fireworks petition. I kinda wish I had never even looked at change.org. They send me about 5 petition invites a week. Why don't I simply delete it? Just in case there is another London relevant fireworks petition to sign.

Unfortunately it will just be a matter of time before more and more fireworks displays are cancelled. I have been in the industry for over 25 years and I have seen more petitions, by-law changes and clients requesting changes in the past 2 years than the previous 20 plus years. The people that don't like fireworks, strongly appose them and are doing everything they can do to have displays cancelled. Unfortunately, more people love fireworks than hate them, but the ones that love them are not passionate or aggressive enough to oppose these changes. We are a passive society and these changes will continue with everything we love to do.

I was asked today through change.org to sign a petition to make polygamy/polyamorous relationships legal worldwide.
Enough said (mic dropping).
