Bad news from "the friendly city".
Woodstock City Council has voted 4 - 3 in favour of banning the sale and use of consumer fireworks. They haven't decided when to make it a by-law but say it will happen.
On the TV London news, one of the councilors in favour of the ban said that one of the issues is that there are problems with the current by-law, because they don't know how to enforce it. They don't currently know whether the police or the fire department should be enforcing the current by-law, although they do know that there is a minimum $125.00 fine.
I really hope that the silliness(being nice here) isn't contagious.

Unfortunately it will just be a matter of time before it is banned everywhere across Ontario. Fireworks are getting a very bad rap right now and the voices of a few are making the decisions for all of us. Welcome to the new Canada.
