Hey all,
Now that Victoria Day and Canada Day are pretty far enough gone, I thought a review on new or newly tried items would be interesting.
This year I didn't get to try too many fresh off the boat items, but I did get to use a BEM Colorful Crossettes and a Mystical Here Fishy Fishy.
Colorful Crossettes: I loved Colorfull Crossettes, but it really needs a u. Being a Canadian, it's hard to spell it right(wrong). The colours were vibrant with a decent but not too loud bang at the break. It's similar to Haywire, but better colour, more noise (which may or may not be desired), and sells for less. I'm not putting Haywire down here. It's still a beautiful cake... I had a remote oops and had a Short Circuit firing at the same time. Best oops ever!
Here Fishy Fishy: This is a good inexpensive fish cake. It's not quite as much fun as Fish Tank, but sells for less and is a nice early on cake. I love having cakes that I can use early to warm up the kids, and then they recognize effects later in bigger ones. I'll definitely use it again and again.
New to me...
Going Nuclear: I was on the wrong angle to view it properly but it had good crowd reaction.
Gold Lux: This one was pretty good with a minor variety of effects. I always like a cake that switches it up a bit.
Ballistic: As with most Pro series cakes it was a well received item. Looked good. Sounded good. Got some applause.
Let us know what you tried new so far this year.
