Hey Forum and fellow pyros! I figured you guys might be getting a bit bored now that the big celebrations are out of the way so I thought I would keep you guys posted on my next upcoming consumer show! My buddies and I started this last year, its a basically an "out in the country" bonfire party with music and etc. Topped off with a fireworks. We call it "Playing with Fire". I was wondering if you guys could help me with some show recommendations as I record videos on setup, firing, and aftermath. Also, any new effects I should include? I'm interested in High altitude or high volume. Thanks guys!

I am a big fan of the Pyro Pro Series cakes, especially Royal Brocade. I lit 6 of these cakes this year (all except snapshot) out of about 11 I had and got comments that the show was really loud.
Will you be e-firing or hand lighting? I had a high volume idea which I did not get to execute this year, but it's going to require e-firing or at least some fuse. 24 x Airbombs at Phatboy for $15. I was thinking of firing them all within a few seconds, or a build up of 1 per second leading up to a bunch at the same time.
We should totally do something like this in Ontario, I would be in for sure. I am going to my sisters up in North Bay in a couple weeks, I have not been there yet but my step-brother tells me we can get fireworks all the time and there are places we can go to light them off. They live on/close to an Indian reserve. This may be a good location although it's kinda far.

The theme is out in the country.
Take a fan of crackling toes from powerhouse and a doc 1204 from royale. It was as if they're made for each other.

You can't go wrong with the Vulcan Mortar shells for High Altitude. Like Valentine's Kiss (Very high 150'+) Crackling Peony, Golden rain willow 80'+ (My favorite and looks great in the sky) Golden Galaxy 150'+. Expensive per shot but are great for height and breaks!

Crap, out of country? LOL we should do something like this here in Ontario by the beach! No No Not OUTSIDE of Canada lol. As fun as American consumer pyro might sound. I am holding this on private property out in the "Country". I have only tried a couple of the pro pyro series and I really liked them, got great duration out of them plus loud breaks. I was thinking of buying a few of them for a finale. Now this is just a party me and my friends have (only about 20-30 people) but I think it would be great. if we could all meet once a year and have a Canadian Pyro Competition? That would be a whole'nother event in itself!

I like all of your ideas! Golden Galaxy and Red ring with Pistil are some of my favourites. I don't always have many of them because they cost a bit more than others, so to speak. This is being Held on the outskirts of Sarnia. Sadly I can't invite all of you to come see the show. But I think an event should be planned, I mean whats the point of a Pyro board if you don't get together once in a while. A consumer pyrotechnic competition would be very cool!
Oh also, in response to Khogan: I will be hand lighting this show with some effects fused together. I will be shooting them to music via my own timecode system.
What do you guys think?
