So I can't afford a firing system for this year so I was wondering about hooking up a real basic nail firing system to 10 - 20 Talons using a old car battery (won't quite get to full charge so can't use it in car). How many can I fire in parallel at the same time? Any suggestions as to design or other would be greatly appreciated as I have never done this before and will probably only use it for my finale so want to get it right.

Never heard of this... just looked it up, sounds pretty cool. What's the output voltage on the battery?

How many amps and how long is the wire?
The first show I worked used a combination of hand firing for the shells (welcome to pyro, eh?) and a nail board for the cakes in front.

JoeRatman (on an American forum similar to this) has some great firing boards including pin-fire panels. He walks through them with great detail. Pretty cool stuff. I'm currently building a push-button wired system based off of one of his designs.
