The 15th edition of the Calgary competition called GlobalFest has wrapped up.
To mark Canada's 150th, the teams were all Canadian.
Shows were as follows:
Western - Mystical Fireworks - designed by Luis Brunchu
Prairies - Big Bang Fireworks - designed by Dan Roy
Ontario - Firemaster Productions - designed by Sean Morris
Quebec - Feux D'Artifice Orion - designed by Patrick Chandonnet
Atlantic - Fireworks FX - designed by George Wade
The winner of this years GlobalFest was Firemaster Productions.
People's Choice Award went to Mystical Fireworks.

Big Bang Fireworks presents a pyromusical firework display with musical representation from across our great country. His many titles for breathtaking displays have earned him respect and envy throughout the industry. Having extensive knowledge of both the manufacturing and display aspects of pyrotechnics, Patrick is able to create and deliver the artistically unthinkable. Patrick’s global contacts and ability to communicate in many languages help ensure his success no matter where he performs.
The influence for this show was the diversity of Canadian music and culture, across time and space. “Generations” is a strong show with deep emotional character that seamlessly integrates Celtic and Francophonie music with power-rock ballads to create a big Finale!

Edited the song list to add two onto the finale show. Appears the songs list listed on the website left out two bonus songs. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-o_B24QcHYFound this pretty decent video of the show (Finale one). |
