Yeah it took quite awhile to warm up even with a good supply of Hot chocolate and a warm truck to jump into . Luckily when I got back home, I had a hot tub to recover in.

My company had a truly Canadian experience this New Year. One of my shooters went several hundred km up a bush all weather and then winter road to shoot a show. The winter road part of the trip was rough. The winter road was in much worse shape than had been expected. My shooter made it in shot the show at 36 degrees celcius (temp not wind chill). He made it back out the winter road and about 15 km down the all weather bush road when a leaf spring broke on the trailer which of course blew the tire. The trailer was hauling equipment not fireworks. He had to abandon the trailer. He struggled to come up with a fix until 5:00 am but it was not possible. I got the call about the abandoned trailer late on Jan 1st as there is no cell service up the road and I am sure he was exhausted when he got home.
Jan 2nd I drove several hundred km to replace the leaf spring and bring the trailer back. 15 km from home base at 8:00 pm the second leaf spring broke and I replaced it on the side of the road. I got home at 9:00 pm.
The beating the trailer took on the bad winter road was obviously the cause of both leaf springs breaking.
Needless to say I was a bit tired by the time I got home. Thank god for warm clothes and heated trucks and tough resourceful shooters that get it done.
