I was clicking around and found this.
Now given it is Australian but, this sure does beat the hell out of the weekend course we do here.
Wasn't able to find a price but I am sure its not cheap!
They sure ask for a lot of info in the Enrollment sheets

Everything is illegal down there, I should know
I worked for Syd Howard back in the day (1993) before it went broke. There never use to be s course as only 4-5 new shooters would be employed every year. It was al experienced based.
It used to be 3 different companies that only shoot shows, now it seems there are a handful of companies per state which is nice to see.
Pulblic can’t even buy Roman candles. So every show is licensed and insured. The more people wanting to shoot the greater call for the govt to step in and regulate the licensing process.

I would thinks that everything down there would be so dry all the time that its a big hazard to sell fireworks to the public, no?
Yeah weekend if you did the display & pyro course one sat and other sun. It was ok but nothing compared to that Australian stuff.
could you see something like this coming here??

Yes very dry
Could we see this up here? It’s already here in our course,
The more accidents happen, the more training is required

Not to the same degree, Dave. I was surprised reading that website how in depth they go into everything. My Scuba diving classes were longer and more intense then the display or pyro class here, I know you can't compare, two totally different things but the point is there is a whole lot that can be covered in a display class that just isn't for whatever reason. Accidents will happen, people can make mistakes, wouldn't it helps the industry to be more proactive then reactive ? Do you think from that website its over kill for here?

Time will tell,
I’ve got pyro friends that have been chasing their license for 3 years,
Studying and shooting, exam after exam
It’s been a while since I looked into the requirements in oz but the 2 countries often consult each other, im not sure if it’s the case here
Australia is very restricted with firearms etc, I wouldn’t be supprised if they are with this industry also.
If it’s fun, it’s either restricted or banned D
