Greetings from Alberta

Hi everyone

I joined this forum last year...thought I'd post an intro for other members!

I've been interested in Fireworks for years, driving to various cities shows/festivals whenever possible.

Since I'm nearing retirement  I thought I'd become more active and knowledgeable in the hands-on of display shows; especially since I have a large retirement property in the Philippines and an open permit from the local AHJ - win!

I was concerned there wouldn't be many opportunities to learn in Alberta - was I graciously wrong!

Shortly after getting my display assist  I was taken under the wing of an established company in Western Canada with an amazing and knowledgeable group of mentors.

Several months and as many shows later, I've had the privilege of assisting with nauticals, floating platforms, lots of travel - and just how plain fun this industry is.

As far as keeping up with the youngsters whilst slugging racks - I thank Ibuprofen!

I just applied for my Display Sup, and yes, as I'm sure everyone on the board has figured out..i freely admit to having the pyro-bug now.

I can't listen to music without scripting a show in my head. Thankfully my imagination still has an unlimited budget with no site restrictions!

I look forward to getting to know the Canadian Pyro board members better!
