I am pretty sure the meeting is setup for owners of fireworks companies. It looks like a great deal of discussion regarding items not pertaining to shooters.

I would take the time off work to go, and I would go if there was a group of people I know who were going. With being said, WOW the price!! and they seem to give you next to no info, whats the talking points any guest speakers (what are they taking about) are you getting some kind of gift bag for the $200+
"We have been working hard on behalf of you, our members, all year long. Now, we are inviting you to join us in discussing the wins and challenges our industry has been facing, as well as the next steps for CNFA"
...and for this we want $200+

If you're in the fireworks industry (business or using) and want to learn about what's going on or have a say in the future of municipal or federal regulations then attend the CNFA conference.
You will be shaking hands with the Professional Display and Consumer Fireworks industries. The CNFA has been advocating for the fireworks industry since its inception and this meeting will keep you informed of what's going on in municipalities that are creating/changing bylaws and the regulations that affect us.
The CNFA membership is free and the conference fee just barely covers all the costs of the room rental, the technical consultants and the Public and Government relations experts.
Is it worth it? That's up to you to support an organization that works hard on keeping what you love, alive.

Thats kind of my point, Write in there what..."technical consultants and the Public and Government relations experts" are going to be there and what their talking points are going to be.
"....this meeting will keep you informed of what's going on in municipalities that are creating/changing bylaws and the regulations that affect us..."
All fine, and good it doesn't say this on their site at all and if this is the case its going to be one long power point presentation with someone standing there reading "London's changes are the following, Milton's changes are the following, Hamilton's changes are the following....etc...."
Not trying to be confrontational at all Billraynault but CNFA's has done a really bad job on their website advertising this !!! and the rube for me is asking for the $200 pp to attend with no info to support the $200.
Just my view point.
I still would like to attend but, take the day off work making money for the family to go and attend blindly losing $200+.
PS. if I am missing something on their website where all this is outlined please someone point it out.

Join the association and you'll get emails about the conference in great detail. The technical consultants that consult for the CNFA use to work in the government. That'll give you the depth to the type of conference this is. Support the industry and the future of fireworks. Join the CNFA! www.c-nfa.org
