8-14 minutes. In my opinion anything longer is an exhibition. Unless you've got a stellar budget, there really isn't enough variety in Canada for products, nor do people have long enough attention spans. If the experience is to watch parts of the show while other things happen - concession sales for example - then longer can be what is desired, but I don't understand people asking for 20-30 minute shows.

10-13mins. It’s not about length. It’s about quality. There’s nothing more boring than 30 mins of one cake at a time. Yaaaaaaawn!

If it’s a 30 min pyromusical, sure. But world class companies don’t do 30 min pyromusicals. So for me, a 30 min traditional show just doesn’t do it for me. 10-13mins. It’s not about length. It’s about quality. There’s nothing more boring than 30 mins of one cake at a time. Yaaaaaaawn! I have enough cakes to make it last and its quality....135 cakes !!

To clarify... Is this an event, or simply for your pleasure?
I agree that for an event show, 10 - 15 minutes is good. But... As the original question was asked, my fireworks are for me, my wife, our extended families, and anyone else that wants to watch for free. Our Canada Day party has been wound down with my fireworks for decades. My tastes have expanded over the years to the point that it takes me just over 40 minutes to fire everything off, with a non-stop 3 minute finale. I love doing it and everyone just keeps enjoying themselves the same way they already have for hours. Some years the kids didn't even get out of the pool. Work friends come by at dusk just to sit and watch my fireworks.
short answer...for my own show...the longer the better!

paid for shows, whatever they want to pay for I will shoot. For 'myself' shows whatever the wallet allows, whatever the wife will not get mad at me for spending
