Anyone know someplace here in Canada where I could order longer length talon igniters. Looking for the 5 and 6 meter ones
thanks

Hey !
Victory fireworks has the a 25 pack of 5 meter talons for $35 .
Personally not aware of anyone in Canada that has the 6 meter talons .

K thanks. Found out that fireworksfx carries the 5m ones as well and are a couple of dollars cheaper at 32.25$ a pack. Going to have to do some measurements and see if I can make the 5m cables work otherwise I guess I will order out of the US

No problem . Usually for us the 5 meter ones will do the trick . But when they don't we usually have some used ones kicking about . Which we will cut off the end and just splice the wires together and use some electrical tape to cover the splices .

You might just have to "scab" in wire, as Grisom suggests. These Scotchlock butt connectors from 3M work really well! youtu.be/4argkJLs9Qg

I would assume that system specs will vary, but they all will fire talons, correct? How important does resistance become to the module/igniter? How far has anyone extended beyond the 1,2,or 3 meter factory length? I have miles of Cat6 available to me. Extending talon wires may solve an issue for next year.(around 30 feet) I use just the cheaper wireless systems. Any suggestions, other that buying a Cobra rig?:-)

Yes most systems will shoot talons . There are a few that won't though. This evening we tried a few experiments with an inexpensive firing system . We tried splicing two 5 meter talons together ( so 10 meters total length ) and firing a bit of fuse . It worked - no issues . Then tried splicing another 5 meter talon to that set up ( so 15 meters total length ) . Again it worked no issues . Tried again with another 5 meter talon ( 20 meters total length ) . Again it worked - no issues . Added two 1 meter talons to that setup (22 meters total length ) - and again it worked . So as far as I can see one can have about 70 feet/ 22 meters of talon wire without any issues .
